John has built a long-standing trust with customers through an unwavering dedication to delivering “what they really need.” John offers his customers more than 18 years of experience partnering with hundreds of healthcare providers to develop and innovate patient billing and payment solutions.

In 2000, John co-founded HealthCom Partners, a leading provider of patient billing software and services for hospitals and health systems. HealthCom pioneered the patient-friendly billing concept and consulted with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in the early stages of their initiative. In 2001, HealthCom launched PatientCompass, healthcare’s first full-service, online account management and payment solution that combined disparate hospital and physician systems for a one-stop patient experience. PatientCompass set the bar by helping hundreds of premier health systems redefine the way they bill and communicate with patients.

HealthCom sold to McKesson (MCK) in 2006 as the first acquisition to form RelayHealth, a revenue cycle services company. At RelayHealth, John led the patient billing and payment business for five years, serving more than 1,000 healthcare providers.

After RelayHealth, John launched and led the healthcare vertical for doxo, an award-winning payment and document network that is transforming the way people connect with businesses to manage and pay their household accounts.

John holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton. He is a member of HFMA (First Illinois Chapter), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM). David has made his mark in the billing and payment processing industry with his unmatched technical knowledge, transparent and direct approach to customer communication, and innovative software solutions that consistently exceed expectations.

In 1997, David co-founded infiNET Solutions, Inc., which in 2000 became one of the first companies to deliver software-as-a-service to the higher education market. David was the CTO of infiNET, responsible for the architecture and management of an automated tuition billing and commerce system for colleges and universities. Today the system is used by more than 300 higher education institutions and processes over $16 billion annually. At infiNET, David led the technology development for HealthCom’s PatientCompass solution for healthcare.

Nelnet, Inc. (NNI), a diversified education planning and financing company, acquired infiNET in 2006. David served as president of the higher education division of Nelnet, where he oversaw sales, product development, customer support, marketing, and strategic planning for the higher education market. His division generated $30 million in revenue annually with a 26 percent profit margin. Under David’s leadership, the business grew 18 percent annually. While at Nelnet, David spearheaded the development of Health Education Solutions, an online medical education and certification program.

David holds a master’s degree in physics from Miami University. He served as an advisory member to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards Council (PCI-DSS) from 2006 through 2010. He also served as a member of the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) Council for Electronic Billing and Payments. Jeff is best known in the healthcare industry as a competitive and competent leader with proven success managing business relationships within hundreds of healthcare organizations.

In 2000, Jeff co-founded HealthCom Partners, a leading provider of patient billing software and services for hospitals and health systems. In 2001, HealthCom launched PatientCompass, a first-of-its-kind online patient bill-pay portal enabling healthcare providers to leverage the Web more efficiently to run their back-office operations, and to afford their patients a new tool to manage the complicated maze of healthcare billing. The product was nationally recognized as best practice and set the standard for excellence in patient satisfaction and engagement.

As general manager at HealthCom, Jeff was responsible for sales, business development, and business operations. Under his direction in these areas, Jeff helped to grow HealthCom organically by five-fold. In 2006, HealthCom was acquired by McKesson (MCK) as its first acquisition to form RelayHealth, a revenue cycle services company. At RelayHealth, Jeff was responsible for new business development by successfully managing revenue cycle sales channels and direct sales teams.

With more than 23 years of experience, he has a distinguished track record of driving extensive revenue growth and high client satisfaction for technology, consulting, and revenue cycle services organizations.

Patrik’s healthcare industry expertise spans the spectrum of revenue cycle transformation, IT operations/strategy, population health, clinical transformation, enterprise-wide cultural transformation, and IT/BPO outsourcing.

Prior to joining OnPlan in 2017, Patrik was a director for Navigant, (formerly McKinnis Consulting Services), providing revenue cycle strategy, process improvement and EMR optimization assistance for healthcare providers. At Navigant, he drove business development activities, client relationship management, and project delivery for consulting engagements. In addition, Patrik has led large, multi-disciplined divisions at several national healthcare consulting and outsourcing firms. He was also a managing director at GE Healthcare, where he played a strategic leadership role in pioneering the professional services application of the Six Sigma Quality Methodology and other transformational tools in healthcare.

Jim Bodenbender


Jim has more than 35 years of experience in healthcare information technology, with the majority of his career dedicated to leading the ideation, development, sales, and support of solutions that help hospitals, physicians, and pharmacies provide better service to their patients.
Jim is currently co-founder and president of MedGift, LLC, a social networking service that solicits financial, physical, and emotional support for individuals coping with health-related hardships. Most recently, Jim was the president of RelayHealth Connectivity Solutions, a business unit of McKesson Corporation (MCK) , where he managed operations and the strategic direction of RelayHealth’s financial, clinical, and consumer-related lines of business as well as the associated sales, business development, and support services. Previously, Jim led strategic planning, product marketing, marketing communications, and sales support activities for NDCHealth. Prior to joining NDCHealth, he held executive leadership roles in privately held startup companies including president of Initiate Systems, senior vice president of marketing and international operations at Gerber Alley, chief operating officer of, and vice president of marketing and strategic planning at publicly held First Data Corporation (FDC), Health Systems Group.

For more than 20 years, he has been a leader in the healthcare industry, focusing on professional services, health intelligence, and coordination of care.As managing partner in Chicago and healthcare practice leader at Newport Board Group, he provides strategic advisory services and board-level consulting to growth-oriented companies. Previously, Michael earned distinction in the industry as chief operating officer and executive vice chairman at CareGuide, Inc., a case management company, where he successfully took the company private, consolidating operations, and restructuring marketing and customer service to achieve profitability. Prior to joining CareGuide, Michael held executive leadership roles, including president and chief operating officer, at CorSolutions Medical, where he helped guide the company through major market transformation, record revenue and profit growth, and a lucrative sale to an industry competitor.
